Congratulations to Rebecca Zhang, the Fall 2025 Congratulations to Rebecca Zhang, the Fall 2025 recipient of the Jerome Ackerman Endowed Internship @alfredceramicartmuseum! Hailing from NYC, Rebecca is a senior pursuing her BFA in Ceramics and Graphic Design. This paid internship at the Alfred Ceramic Art Museum provides the opportunity for a hands on experience with museum professional practices where she is excited to learn about the behind-the-scenes work of how collections are organized. Resonating to the tactile nature of ceramics, Rebecca feels that “the sensory experience of holding and handling a pot is essential to ‘seeing’ it.” Her tea ware pieces reflect her interest in harmony, mindfulness, Taoism, the human experience, and community. Rebecca has been an instructor at several ceramics studios in Brooklyn and enjoyed a month-long residency in Jingdezhen, China, where she plans to return to further explore its extensive ceramic history.
